Banana Nut Bread


1 cup Butter Crisco
3 cups flour
3 cups sugar
1 teaspoons soda
4 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
?جø¬?? cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons vanilla
4-6 very ripe large bananas, mashed
1?جø¬?? cups chopped pecans


Cream Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, blending well after each addition. Add buttermilk and vanilla; blend thoroughly until smooth. Stir together flour, soda and salt and add to creamed mixture. Add bananas and pecans, mixing by hand until just blended.

Spoon batter into lightly greased bundt pan. Bake at 325F for 1 hour and twenty minutes, or until cake tastes done.
