Chocolate Minty Flips


Syrup Recipe:
2 cups
2 c sugar
1 c cocoa
1/2 c water
2 c boiling water
1/4 t salt

1/4 c Malted milk powder
2 c cold milk
1-1/2 t vanilla
1/2 t peppermint extract
1/4 t salt
2 c (1 pint) vanilla ice cream


Mix 2 c sugar, 1 c cocoa. Stir in 1/2 c water. Stir into 2 c boiling water. Boil 6 minutes, remove from heat. Stir in 1/4 t salt. Cool, store in fridge.
Combine until smooth: 1/4 c malted milk powder and 1/4 c syrup recipe. Blend in slowly: milk, vanilla, peppermint extract, salt. Beat well. Chill. When ready to serve, add 2 c (1 pt) vanilla ice cream. Mix well.
